Webtree Solutions GmbH ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Bookly mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use our app.

Information We Collect

Bookly is designed with your privacy in mind. We collect minimal data necessary to provide our services:

Data Stored Locally on Your Device:

• Books you add to your library (titles, authors, page counts)
• Reading progress and statistics
• Notes and highlights you create
• Reading goals and preferences

iCloud Sync (Optional):

If you enable iCloud sync, your reading data is stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit service. This data is encrypted and synced only between your own devices. We do not have access to your iCloud data.

Sign in with Apple (Optional):

If you use Sign in with Apple, we only receive the information you choose to share (such as your name or email). Apple may provide a private relay email address to protect your personal email.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect personal identification information
• We do not track your location
• We do not use analytics or tracking services
• We do not display advertisements
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties

Camera Access

Bookly requests camera access solely to scan book barcodes for easier book entry. Camera data is processed locally on your device and is never stored or transmitted.

Data Storage and Security

Your reading data is primarily stored locally on your device. If you use iCloud sync, your data is also stored in your personal iCloud account, protected by Apple's security measures and your Apple ID credentials.

Data Deletion

You can delete your data at any time:

• Delete individual books, notes, or reading sessions within the app
• Delete all app data by uninstalling Bookly
• Delete iCloud data through your device's Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Manage Storage

Children's Privacy

Bookly does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is suitable for all ages as it does not collect personal data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
